DRAMATHERAPY
Therapist and Supervisor (MA HCPC Dip) with over 10 years experience with children, teenagers and adults.
Dramatherapy is a form of psychological therapy in which all of the performance arts are utilised within the therapeutic relationship. Dramatherapists are both artists and clinicians and draw on their trainings in theatre/drama and therapy to create methods to engage clients in effecting psychological, emotional and social changes.
I am currently working as an Associate Lecturer at Derby University on the MA Dramatherapy course and therefore my private practice currently has limited space.
I offer 1:1 support, for children, teenagers and adults. Specialising in Trauma, Sexual Abuse, Self Harm, Anxiety and creative interventions, looking at the world from a different angle.
Sessions are person-centred focusing on what you want to explore and can incorporate creative activities such as play, drama, art and poetry/creative writing to support getting to the heard of the experience.
I also offer Creative Supervision for artists and therapists who work supporting others. Having trained in creative arts supervision at Central School of Speech and Drama. I utalise the creative self to explore issues that may be difficult to understand verbally. Making space to understand how our work affects us along with gaining space to think about what is happening in the room is a valuable tool for anyone working within a complex field. For more information please email.
